Dubai’s Bhurj Khalifa will soon have a new tower that is a bit taller than its exisitng height of 828 metre. This will be built by Emaar Properties PJSC at a cost of $1 billion, its Chairman Mohamed Alabbar said at a press conference on Sunday
The tower will be located within its Dubai Creek Harbor project. The construction is set to start by the end of this June and will be completed before Dubai hosts the World Expo by 2020. This new tower will have an observation deck , gardens and have around 18 floors of space for restaurants, shops and other facilities. The project is planned to be financed equally by equity and debt.
It is touted to be the next landmark for Dubai. Dubai’s plan to double its tourist visits to 20 million by 2020 is giving raise to all new construction projects.
